Paul D. Fleck Library & Archives
The Banff Centre's Paul D. Fleck Library & Archives offers participants both an environment of and virtual access to resources for knowledge acquisition and exploration.  From the library or from a studio, participants can access the online catalogue and electronic resources available during their stay.

Studio Resources 

Leighton Artists' Colony
The eight Leighton Artists' Colony were designed by eight Canadian architects to accommodate creative practice. Each studio has plenty of light with a private view, kitchenette, washroom, comfortable furnishings, telephone and CD/cassette player. Three of the studios have pianos and two are designed for visual artists. Music & Sound
The studios, Rolston Recital Hall and the Bentley Chamber Music Studio are bathed in natural light and are open to spectacular mountain views. A percussion studio with a full range of instruments is available to complement those brought by percussionists. Over 50 private practice studios are located in the building and around the campus with 43 grand pianos available to participants of Music & Sound programs. More info...

Photography
The Photography Studio is a professional facility comprising ten darkrooms (7 B7W/3 Colour), a print-finishing area and lighting studio that are designed for individual use and efficient production.  The facility supports a great variety of photography projects and allows artists 24-hour access. Computer Resources
The Interactive Media environment is built around a professional programming team with operating system experiance in UNIX, Linux, Windows, and MacOS environments using SGI02, Intel-based workstations, and Macintosh Workstations.
Access to specialized computer facilities must be scheduled well in advance of arrival to avoid scheduling conflicts with frequently-used facilities.  Use of these resources is subject to a daily or hourly fee.  A full fee schedule is available upon request.

Standard audio/visual equipment needs can be met through rentals from The Banff Centre's Technical Services department, but residents are advised to bring their own computers, tools, and specialized devices. More info...

Depending on need, a larger production-based studio (average: 350 square feet) or smaller office-type space (161 square feet) can be selected - both are equipped with basic studio furniture.

Rehearsal Studios
The Theatre Complex has a variety of rehearsal spaces, including two large sprung dance floor studios and eight medium-sized spaces.  These studios are ideal for directed and self-directed professional development and are used to support all Theatre Arts training and performance programs.

Eric Harvie Theatre
The 959-seat Eric Harvie Theatre is the main auditorium in the theatre complex. It is a proscenium house with fly tower that regularly accommodates opera, dance, a wide variety of music, film, drama, multimedia/interdisciplinary presentations, and conferences.  More info...

Margaret Greenham Theatre
The 246-seat Margaret Greenham Theatre is the second theatre space in the complex, it is a studio space with a fixed audience rake, soft black masking, and a fixed grid. It is used extensively for dance, drama, chamber opera, intimate music events, and meetings.  More info...

The Club
The Club, 180 capacity (120 seated), is a cabaret space with a low stage, flexible seating, limited backstage space, and a warm and intimate atmosphere.  More info...

Rolston Recital Hall
The beautiful 200 seat Rolston Recital Hall is located in the Music & Sound Building and looks out at the picturesque Mount Rundle. The seating configuration can be changed to accommodate different ensemble settings so seating is general admission.  More info...

Vistas Dining Room

The Banff Centre caters to many different types of clients throughout the year. The Vistas Dining Room is open to everyone in The Banff Centre community, located on the top floor of the Sally Borden Building. Dining is in a unique market-style combination of individualized ready-to-enjoy items, as well as items customized just for you “while you wait.” The Rocky Mountain peaks that surround us form an impressive backdrop to your dining experience.

Props Pub, which is located in Donald Cameron Hall offers all guests a relaxing, intimate atmosphere to unwind after an intense day of sessions or sightseeing. This 60 seat pub is a fully stocked facility with a pub style menu, nightly specials, as well as pool and darts.

The Gooseberry Juice Bar and Deli
After working out and developing an appetite for something healthy, drop by and enjoy one of our fresh deli sandwiches. This European style deli offers sandwiches made from fresh baked breads, award winning deli meats, pizza by the slice, as well as specialty fresh squeezed juices. The Kiln Café & General Store
Visit the Kiln (the original site of The Banff Centre Ceramics Program) for an enticing selection of specialty coffees and pastries, wraps, sandwiches and fresh sushi. The Kiln also sells various sundry items, as well as Banff Centre merchandise including fleece vests and jackets, art supplies, and original pieces crafted by Banff Centre artists.
