My summer at The Banff Centre has been incredibly rewarding. It is a supportive environment in a spectacular setting. The faculty is first-rate, and I learned volumes from my time here.
Erin Phelps, 2009 Master Class

An essential experience for emerging musicians, The Banff Centre’s master classes offer artistic inspiration and development in a supportive and collaborative setting where lifelong friendships are made. This program focuses on discovery and excellence with world-renowned faculty. Musicians take part in master classes, career development seminars, performances, and chamber music collaborations. Participants work with all visiting artists, regardless of instrument, and will be encouraged to mix and collaborate with other classes to maximize their learning and development. Participants have access to a staff of collaborative pianists, and are encouraged to collaborate in chamber music, new music, and special projects.

The Banff Centre’s summer music programs offer musicians a unique learning experience through intensive programs and dozens of performance opportunities with other international participants in the music programs, as well as with the renowned program faculty throughout the Banff Summer Arts Festival.
